Mindlantic
Mindlantic
A solution to the soft skills development platform. Improve your soft skills with daily 5 minutes learning bites.
Problem
The main problems we're addressing in the current version of the Mindlantic were to remove distractions between learning and understand people they can learn something new without spending so much time on it. It's not about fast-paced learning but giving more people the freedom to spend their time relaxing or enjoying something they love instead of spending hours in front of a computer screen.
Solution
After understanding the project and problem, it was rather easy to design and come up with a set of screens to solve the problems we're addressing in version 1.0. Since I was working with a team things moved fast we didn't spend too much time on a single, thing rather focused on getting real feedback from the users. That doesn't mean we didn't discuss a feature or a button or the color rather, we did all this quick and shipped version 1.0 in 4-5 weeks of time.
Mindlantic is a soft skills development platform. We help you improve your soft skills every day with 5-minute learning bites, without long training courses. We designed our content in such a way that you don’t have to spend too long searching for the content or finding a quick solution.
It’s highly focused on individual learning experiences, giving users easy to digest learning content. We base our delivery model on long-term learning, which means we don’t expect you to complete the course/content in one go, or hour, or a week. But we’ll nudge you to do very little day by day and exponentially build your knowledge over a long period (say 1-6 months).
I started working on Mindlantic almost three months back and by this time the Team had some data/interviews to test the hypothesis or build the product. I had gone through each interview/topic before designing or even thinking about designing/visualizing the product just to get myself familiar with the project. After going through almost all the data (it was only textual data, and there was very little to no visual or graphical element to go on.) I started visualizing the product in my head and worked on a very easy to complete user flow. For example, the sign-up process, user onboarding, welcome screen, homepage, and then the lessons and quizzes screen. To make everything simple, I divided the task completed by users into different stages and worked from there.
Since Strategy Compass GmbH, the parent company behind Mindlantic had already worked with the Project Manager and a few other people on this project for months, I didn't have to do a lot of product discovery rather I worked on Understanding the features and designing them, and thinking about the content delivery model. Just, to sum up, the product discovery stage consisted of Understanding Mindlantic, Content Delivery Model (Learning Bites and Journeys), and bringing these two to life. Apart from this, it also consisted of exploring the design style, features, design language, and visuals for Mindlantic.
Since Mindlantic is targeting working professionals in version 1.0, it was my job to design the user flow and journey, which was very simple and easy to complete. I was working on this project with the Project Manager and what we did was reduce distractions or clutter from the user flow and focus only on the relevant pages or contents. My job included but was not limited to UI/UX Design, Product design, Logo design, and branding, creating components for the developer. I was also responsible for creating and designing the homepage for individuals and companies and creating marketing banners for promotions of Mindlantic.Apart from handling the complete design, it was also expected of me to explain the design process to the PM from time to time and design the interface based on reviews or feedbacks of the internal team.
